click on image for another cool song... all i want is MORE!!! i rolled in the festival just in time for LCD Soundsystem's set, which i enjoyed safely backstage. shit, i remember when Coachella was an intimate affair. there's like an overwhelming 80,000 people there now, that's insane!!! not even the VIP section feels nice. this is how i see it - if my mother dearest wouldn't feel comfortable enough at the VIP section, then it's but a glorified special people section, which at Coachella looks like a congregation for chain smoking ed hardy douche bags... thankfully, i was offered a backstage pass at the 11th hour & everything was much better there. last time i got full access backstage & vip passes i swore i could never again go without! i think that was the year i went for the Pixies & by the time the Cure came on, the pure mdma flowing through my veins kicked in & there's not much else i could do but weep with overwhelming tears of joy to "Boys Don't Cry," or was i just sweating profusely?! anyhew, LCD Soundsystem rocked the main stage & the crowd went wild! it was so cute when James Murphy said "I'll only get to say this once in my life so... stick around for Jay-Z," which i did for a bit before coming right back to LA... for too long i just had to be there the whole time & i just had to be among the riff raff & i just had to see every single band, and i wasn't even "all there!" i don't have to live like that anymore... PHEW!!! i got my Coachella fix for the year in such a better way...
