Two Door Cinema Club killed it last night! after their appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show, the irish band (in their early 20s except for the 18 year old drummer) ran up the street to Bardot for their USA debut in the heart of Hollywood... the packed intimate room went wild! my dear friend Valida hosted & took over the decks. i ate it up!!! all of it!!! Valida's School Night is no doubt a grrreat success waw waw wee waw! i hope you're one of the lucky few who will see them this week at the Troubadour...

i love this city!!! Opening Ceremony celebrated Spike Jonze's air dancers with a parking lot BBQ, by their latest expansion; it's an annex with its own entrance on the lot & more cool stuff. i want to buy every single thing they have!!! Jenny Le runs the place so tastefully while co-owner/founder Humberto's mom made the super tasty tacos mixed with chinese cole slaw & churros for the kids. celebutards & starlettes aside, the crowd was cool...
later on we made it to a really good opening at ACME, thanks to House On Genesee's gracious invite... then to Sushi Ike for the best red snapper i've ever had, with my usual orders of yellow tail & sea urchin (more here)... and then to The Prince for OC's afterparty where we indulged in some roasted ginkgo nuts - chinese &/or korean delicacies, which taste just like roasted chestnuts to me but might be better for your brains. god knows i need all the help i can get!!! finally, we made it to Fred 62 for a night cap - a decadent chocolate malt... sigh!!! lo-fi lets go:
