ever since the Lemon Incest duet with her late father, Charlotte Gainsbourg has epitomized everything that is cool about being french, at least to those of my generation... then again, her mother is a brit, which is probably why she is a french icon without being tragically french! Charlotte's talent, voice & understated sense of style are flawless, or simply beautiful in all their sweet imperfections... anyhew!

the first 2 pics showcase a fabulous dress that could easily pass as belgian couture from the Antwerp Six. in fact, it's the kinda jacket hunters wear in the bush to move unnoticed by their preys. passing through Texas, she rummaged a 3 story high hunting store for an oversized one she could wear in this way! i love it & i want one!!!
the first set of pictures was taken at some art gallery in Chinatown, where the first band that came on had me running for the exit!
the following set of mobile pics on the go is from a compound party in Echo Park, hosted by the precious Lady Tigra & her kind neighbors, friends, deejays, musicians... i particularly enjoyed Sean y Zander who were blessed by none other than Jesus of LA... Jesus is hitting the town a lot lately!
the 3rd set is from an evening at the Plaza... not the fancy schmancy kind; the latino tranny dive bar on La Brea! totally random & hella kitschy. lots of dirty dancing to reggaeton between acts!
