chloë sevigny @ opening ceremony

i took a load of pix over the week-end, but i'm too lazy to go through them all & figure out which ones i want to share on my blog... but i did end the week-end on sunday night with Azalea by attending the launch of Chloë Sevigny's line for Opening Ceremony, the coolest one-stop shop in LA for clothes, before-hipsters-catch-on tendencies, books & art work. the flagship store opened in NY in 2002, just across the street from Q Department, the music/sound design production shop i'm honored to represent... last year (or was it 2006, shit, time flies!) they opened a 2nd store here in LA. anyhew, i went to the Chloë Sevigny launch just to take a peak, and i ended up buying this cool pair of sunglasses with brown/green shades & a dark olive green leather frame. i've never seen sunglasses with leather trims on the frames before, and i fell madly in love. besides, my 3 year old ditta sunglasses with white frames died on me. white frames was cool 3 years ago, ok, 2 years ago, and almost embarrassing in 2007, although my dittas went out of production in 2006 so at least i never met anyone else wearing the exact same. that would have been mortifying!!! anyhew, this sunday night at Opening Ceremony was uneventful, being that it's fashion week in nyc and it wasn't so much of an event but an opportunity to check out the bargains on sale. besides, this boutique is so rich with style, class, subdued innovations & curiosities... i'm a sucker for that kinda discerning shit! i swung by to check it out, and justified my purchase for the olive green leather framed sunglasses as a post mortum for the ditta white shades. it was one of my mature fashion choices; mature is the new white! aiiight, here are some pix i took at the store. a store with a super sweet & sexy swedish model/stylist working it. he's known to date boys & girls, but i didn't take a pic of him. anyhew, here you go:
