i love my family

of course i mean the family that i have chosen to keep as such, which fortunately includes my own mother, my stepdad and my 2 blood brothers. i deeply love this crazy family... i'm going through all my shit, packing some of it. i found a bunch of black & white pix i took, and spent hours developing by myself in a dark room...

i was back in Caracas over a christmas break & we were doing some last minute shopping before i had to fly back to the US... here she stands in front of our neighborhood, Altamira/Palos Altos/Country Club with the magestic Avila in the background. this mountain separates the city from the Caribbean and is a national park with many trails, waterfalls, a mid-century hotel at the summit with a cable car. i never took the cable car. i can't remember if it ever worked while i lived in Caracas. but when it did, you could cut the 4 hour trek to the summit into a short easy ride. i wonder if the regime of crazy kookoo Chavez got it fixed, or more seriously is working on solving the local infrastructure problems, as well as the growing poverty, being that Venezuela is one of the richest oil countries in the world, and Chavez' government is donating millions of oil money to poor nations to free them from their debts to the world bank, a symbol of US imperialism. whatever, that Chavez is such a tool. i said it before & i'll say it again: Chavez can suck Castro's farts & drop dead of asphyxiation for all i care! anyhew...

here are a few more pix of the beautiful Caracas i miss:
